1970 Chevelle SS LS-6 tribute for sale in Rochester, Minnesota

$39,999

This replica of a 1970 Chevelle SS454 has it all; classic lines, fantastic paint, menacing stance, rumbling 454ci big block, full SS dash, and a complete Vintage Air setup. There's a lot to like here.
This car started life as a 1972 Malibu with a 350ci 2-barrel engine. It has since been restored and modified witfloor section which was professionally replaced. The car was repainted in Toreador Red Metallic which looks awesome and is offset nicely by the new vinyl top, brightwork, and 17" aluminum wheels. Note too the SS badging and hood pins.
This Chevelle now sports a 454ci engine that was built for the street. It has plenty of power and a great sound, but also has civilized road manners with a stable operating temperature and solid vacuum at idle. Highlights include an Edelbrock intake, HEI electronic distributor, and Holley electric fuel pump. The transmission is a TH400 automatic which feeds a 12-bolt rear end. There is also power steering and power front disc brakes to make driving a breeze for anyone.
The interior has been redone with new carpeting, door panels, seat covers, and an SS dash. Everything works properly including the oil light, ammeter and clock. The horn, wipers, neutral safety switch, and backup lights are functional as well, as is the parking brake. The dash lights and dome light are good too. There is also a modern Retrosound stereo with auxiliary input. And not to be missed is the Vintage Air HVAC setup; it's always nice to have air conditioning on those hot summer nights, not to mention a functional heater and defroster.
I don't know if there's anything that screams "muscle car" more than a Chevelle SS454. And while this car has all the looks and sound for the part, it is also a fun and comfortable car to drive, complete and ready to go when you are.

1970 front clip and SS rear bumper.
This was a nearly rust-free car with the exception of the drivers door corner.
